Duality portfolio

I've started to re-design my website for what would be the 4th time in three months. I just can't seem to find a design I particularly like, possibly due to it being easier to design for someone else rather than one self. Yet this design I've become quite fond of and have found it rather easy to code.

Below is a list of aspects I like about the website:

1. I've implemented a jQuery crossfade effect into the thumbnails improving the site's feel some what.

2. My designs are more noticeable and accessible on the left hand side and there is a clear distinction between content and images.

3. In the top right I've added an "Available for work" button that can be interchanged when I'm either free for freelance work.

4. My portfolio is instantly accessible and is the most prominent feature of the website, as it should be.

5. Easy to code.

The only thing I don't like about this design is it has made the download of the website quite large (1.04 MB each time it is viewed) Luckily my website isn't visited that often but I will have to think about upgrading the meager 200MB limit in the future.
